A Day in the life of a Haitian…
Have you heard about this story from Yahoo! News? As a person of partial Haitian decent, this really hurts my heart. We all say that the economy is starting to drop here in the states, but in underdeveloped countries such as the one my dad immigrated here from (Haiti) the rising costs of food and energy have pushed their country farther into despair… How did we go from being the richest country in the Western Hemisphere, to an impoverished 3rd World Nation?

So you are Haitian too? Damn it really is a small world. My Great Grand mother caught the boat over here back in the 40’s. She was a proud citizen of Port a Prince. I get told all the time that I “look” like I am from the carribean, whatever the hell that means.
