*Updated 4/28/08*: For those of you that haven’t heard about the stimulus checks, Congress will start direct depositing them into people’s bank accounts this week. For people that wish to have direct deposit, but also want the checks split between multiple accounts, the government will mail out checks starting May 1st. For everyone else without bank accounts, or for those that chose to have their checks mailed to them, Congress will mail out checks starting with those people with Social Security numbers ending in 00-10 I believe. All checks should be mailed out by mid-summer.
From CNNMoney.com, Congress has approved The Stimulus Package that has been in the works for the past few months now. The Government says that checks should be mailed out starting in May. Knowing how things are with the economy, doesn’t this stimulus package just end up pushing us farther into debt? I don’t know what you’re going to do with your rebate check, but I’m gonna go open a money market account.
