Chipper Pipper Diddly Doo…

I knew it! Ya boy got a B in Calculus II as my Midterm Grade! Wooo Hoo! But I really could have done without Dr. B callin me out in class like that. Dr. B immigrated here from Poland about a year ago so a lot of the things he says are mad funny. Towards the end of class, he got really loud and was like “I knew you could do it!” He gave me a thumbs up and everything…everyone in the class (including me) busted out with laughter. LOL it truely was funny now that I think about it. I’m still in grind mode though. Gotta keep this grade up!

I got my third eye on the sparrow…

I haven’t seen this video in years, but when it came on VH1 Soul today, I remembered almost all the words. This is still one of my most favorite videos of all time…

24 Hour Blue (Just One Of Those Days…)

I guess I can say that i’m in a bit of an indifferent mood right now. I’m far from upset, but im not all honky dorry happy either. Eh, back to watching movies with Neice J and Nephew D.

This one Vivian Green song (which shares the same title as this post) explains how I’m feeling right now to a tee.

Just one of those days
Just another day, it don’t go your way
(And tomorrow can’t come soon enough for me)

A Method To My Madness

At Morgan, Midterm week is upon us. I’ve only actually had one. Rather, I have one. It’s today at 3pm. Have I studied for it? Nope. I had every intention to. I blame it on my short ass attention span.

Random Thoughts from A Tired College Student…

Do I curse too much?

I wonder why they decided to bring back Celebrity Fit Club…HAVE SOME CLASS TOCCARA! lol smh

I really wish I had some Simply Orange with extra pulp right now.

I really need to run past the Student Publications Suite tomorrow to pick up my next set of assignments.

The inside of my nose is itching like crazy…

Damn, Gas is already at $3.23 a gallon for regular.

The BME Pain Olympics are sadistic…I can’t believe I watched that earlier…smh

I should have studied for my midterm today while I was at work…

Hmm. I wonder what Ms. Bed-Stuy is doing right now…

Maybe I should call her…

Na, it’s mad late and besides, what would we talk about at 1:08 in the morning.?
“So um, what are you doing? Sleeping? wow that sounds like fun…”

Why do I keep checking my sidekick as if someone has hit me up? The light’s been flashing green for almost 3 hours straight now…

I really REALLY need a vacation.

Should I post what I was thinking about earlier?

Why the hell is my sister snoring so loud?

I hate Cheesecake.

No really, I hate Cheesecake

Why am I feeling so restless?

Sometimes I find it really hard to find something to blog about. But when I do, I usually end up sitting and writing up to 5 posts at one time then staggering their publication date/time.

Eh, no O.S.A.G. entry this week. Not much has changed with me or what I’ve been eating.

I guess he really was trying to protect his baby by putting her in the microwave…smh

That takes drying your kid off to an entirely new level.

Thanks to my girl P for the link.

To Work or Not To Work, That Is The Question…

For those that don’t know, I’ve been applying for mad internships for this upcoming summer vacation. As cool as sitting home on my ass not doing crap for 3 months sounds, I’d much rather be off working somewhere making extra money so that I could help out with some bills around the house. Boredom consumed me over Winter Break when I sat home, and I don’t even wanna think of what I could get into being at home for 3 months straight…

To date, I have applied for the following Internships:

Ms. Bed-Stuy

One may ask. Why do you call her Ms. Bed-Stuy? Well, shes obviously from Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn…smh

I met her about 2 or 3 semesters back in my African Diaspora class. We hit it off towards the end of the semester and have been cool ever since. I can honestly say that I love spending time with her. I talk to her at least 3-4 times a week.

Something that I feared would come into fruition may actually be happening. I think she and I are starting to drift apart. I knew that after that 1 class we had together, that it would be doubtful that we would have any other classes together. With her being an accounting major, I rarely saw her on campus when we did have class together. And now (outside of the rides to school on Mondays), I’ve only see her on campus once.

I know exactly what to blame on this. Our schedules. Were both extremely busy people. It seems as if one of us is busy, then the other is free and wants to do something. I spoke to her on Sunday, and I told her that we would have to chill over Spring Break seeing as how we’ve chilled maybe once or twice this semester. She’s going out of town to see family. And as far as this summer goes, I anticipate working two jobs (an internship + my weekend job at the hospital) so idk how things will work out then. Maybe we should go out to lunch or something?….Hmm. I guess that’s something I’d have to think about.

I Hate Daylight Saving Time!

Clock

Yesterday, I woke up @ 6am per usual. I noticed that it was unusually bright for it to be 6am, but I really didn’t care because I was still half asleep. I started to get ready as usual and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. I finished getting dressed, grabbed my breakfast and lunch out of the fridge and headed to work. I got all the way to work and noticed something odd. There wasn’t a mad rush of cars trying to get into the parking garage. I was starting to think I was in The Twilight Zone because anyone that works where I work knows that at 6:50 in the morning, there are cars rushing to get into the garage. I parked my car and walked into the semi-abandoned hallway. I made it to the time clock to badge in, and guess what time it said…. 7:55 AM. I was an hour late for work because I forgot to set my clock (and the rest of the clocks in the house for that matter) ahead an hour on Saturday Night. smh

The Genius of the Month: Hillary Rodham Clinton

Hillary Clinton

Was it really necessary to cry on national television for sympathy?

Do you really think that your victory in those states are really gonna slow down Obama?

I must give it to you, poking fun of yourself on SNL was a smart move. A late move, but a smart one nonetheless.

Have you noticed that your attempts to poke holes in Obama’s campaign end up making you look petty and cutthroat?

Februrary 2008’s Genius of the Month is:

Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY)
