Initially, I was quite indifferent regarding this topic. My viewpoint was that if one knows that is one of the repercussions of being convicted of a crime, then common sense dictates that he should abide by the law if he values his suffrage. However, I am now of the mind that the time spent in the slammer is punishment enough in most cases (hopefully), and if a person has been deemed ready to reenter society, why shouldn’t he have a say in who governs and the laws that will ultimately affect him?
I think they should be…they served their time. Well I take that back depending on what they did they should have their rights back.

I think their voting rights should be restored once they are released from supervision (incarceration or parole).
They pay taxes if they are working and the laws and policies that the politician put into play affect x-offenders as well.
