Truly Random.

I haven’t blogged in awhile. I guess y’all have noticed that right?

I haven’t really been feeling blogging too tough since Summer Break started. It seems as if everytime i get close enough to computer to blog, it totally escapes my mind OR I couldn’t even begin to recall how to gather my thoughts into a cohesive series of paragraphs.

Maybe the fact that i’m in front of the computer the majority of the day at work doesn’t help either?

Anyways, here goes:

The Internship is going well. They have me shadowing the Project Engineers and  I attend meetings and make site visits just as they do.   All in all, it’s a good experience so far. In a few weeks, I’ll be transfering to a different Job Site down in D.C. to finish out this term of my internship there. I already know I’m gonna be cranky as hell because in addition to having to wake up an hour earlier, I’m adding an two hours to my daily commute. Sounds like fun, no? I can’t complain much though. At least I have a job, better yet make that two jobs (Don’t even start w/ the jokes Bryan Maltier) so I can’t complain too much.

I recently got word of  some major layoffs at the hospital awhile back. My immediate boss was affected. I was shocked when I found out the news and I hate the fact that it had to happen. The economy really hasn’t recovered yet.

My grandmother passed away on the 4th of July after an extended bout with Alzheimers. It still hasn’t hit me yet, and I doubt it will anytime soon. I’m trying to remain strong for my mom. I find it unsettling to see her display that much emotion at once.

I’ve been enjoying the ability to get out and travel this summer (even though it’s not over yet). I’ve been back and forth between here and Virginia to visit the little brother a few times, and he even came up here for 4th of July weekend. I don’t know if he’ll come back because we don’t have AC at Casa de brran..lol. Hopefully I’ll be able to hit up a few more spots before I head back to my semester long confinement to the Engineering Building.

I almost gave up on the recording industry as a whole about a week ago, but since today was the release date for Maxwell’s BLACKsummer’snight, I guess I can retract that statement for now. I’ve been listening to the CD since Saturday and I can honestly say that Maxwell is back with a vengeance. Check it out if you haven’t already.

I’m definitely gonna try to make it down to Teavolve at least once or twice this summer to check out the vibe down there.

I caught a few moments of the Michael Jackson Memorial Service today while at work. I think it was excellent and I’ll be checking it out in its entirety when ever it re-airs.

My photography blog may not be around for much longer. Well, allow me to rephrase that. It may not be around in its current state. I’m currently working on the next step in the evolution of my Visual Expression. Hopefully it’ll debut sometime before October 1.

I got ANOTHER summons for Jury Duty. I went in May of last year and i’m still trying to figure out why I’ve been called so soon.

Anybody ready for Football season yet? LETS GO EAGLES!

Sorry to hear about your gram. Your family is in my prayers.

Joe’s new one sounds like it’s going to be pretty good (releasing on 7/21 I believe). I thin Ginuwine’s album was a hit and a miss.

I have never been summoned for jury duty. *knocks on wood*

I know what you mean about the traveling. I need to get back up that way and see you, TravelDiva, the rusty can lady (aka Monnie), and the rest of the tribe.

Rebbie sang? I didn’t know that.
