Being in Europe (and in my specific location in Germany) allows for travel to other places rather inexpensively. Living in Maryland, the closest international border is several hours away in all directions, so the plan while here is to travel as much as possible. So far, my personal list of places I want to travel to consists of:
- Paris, France
- Rome, Italy
- Venice, Italy
- Prague, Czech Republic
- Madrid, Spain
- Amsterdam, The Netherlands
- Oswiecim, Poland (Location of the Auschwitz II -Birkenau Concentration Camp)
- London, England
- And of course other cities here in Germany (Berlin, Cologne, Hamburg and Munich)
One good thing about my job is that I (along with the other interns) may have the opportunity to travel for work since my office has projects in other countries, so I may get a chance to see those places (if not others). My goal is to hit at least 6 out of 12 of the places on that lists.
For those that have travelled around Europe, what are some places, historical sites that I should check out?
Venice was beautiful. I hope you get to go!
Edinburgh, Brussels (European Council), Portugal (I heard was fabulous), Stonehenge (?).
